WTC 2025: Bolt Action

Bolt Action is a thrilling game that puts players in command of the most famous armies of the Second World War. Produced by Warlord Games, this skirmish game lets players bring arms and armour from across the different theatres of war to clash in a fantastic test of skill and general-ship.

We're back for our fifth year of the Bolt Action WTC in 2025, and can't wait to welcome generals both old and new to our event in England

Especially as Warlord Games is bringing out a new edition of the rules in 2024. We are all very excited and eagerly look forward to what we believe could be some awesome changes. To reflect this our rules pack will be extremely dynamic over the next few months as we incorporate these changes.

Participating countries

Each participating country is welcome to send up to 3 teams of 4 players, one of whom will be nominated as the Team Captain. Captains, coaches, and other similar roles are not permitted outside of the team of 4 - for example, you can't bring 4 players plus a coach.

We currently have representatives from the following countries who will soon be selecting their team(s) for 2025:

  • Denmark
  • England
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Netherlands
  • Poland
  • Spain
  • Sweden
  • USA
  • Wales
  • N. Ireland
  • Scotland
  • Canada
  • Denmark
  • Chile
  • South Africa

If you would like to be put in contact with your country rep to find out how to qualify, or if you'd like to put forward your country for participation, please get in touch with us.

Venue, tickets, and other event information

The WTC isn't just a single system tournament - it's an entire event! You can find all the information about the venue, tickets, and other event-wide information on our event info page.

Tournament format

Unsurprisingly, the World Team Championships is a team event! As such, there are some restrictions on what armies you can field as a team, and the match-up system involves you being matched up against an entire team from another country. For example, France 1 vs Italy 2.

You'll be able to find all the details on the event format, army list selection, the match-up process, schedule, and other information, in the Rules Pack in the Resources section below.

FAQs & Errata

The event will use the latest Warlord Games FAQ and Errata document published by the deadline of 1st (Totally Dynamic folks. We will add a date as things develop). We will not use any that are published after that date.

With a brand new edition the IGE FAQ, which was a collection of asked questions at our previous events, is obviously on hold to see if some may still be valid for 2025.
